The trend of present education development and Basic Education Reformation ask for more attention on individual and personality, and the integrated development of students by school, which refers to the transition of education modes and methods, and relevant change of class scale. The corresponding small-class oriented education has experiment effect and social influence on some level.Otherwise, because of the objective reality of large class limit, it still has some difficulty in popularizing small class teaching. So, it's very necessary to carry out the educational practice and research characterized by holistic approach and individuation of small class under the premise of large class.This thesis does research on "large class turning into small classes" of middle school, taking M School as an example. M School divides one large class into three small classes. Each small class is allocated with a head teacher. The normal courses would be processed in "large class", while some other activities would be done in "small class", such as other researching study, synthesized activities,guiding methods, and moral activities etc.M School constructs a management system of researching study on "large class turning into small classes", which makes sure that all of the students would participate in researching study. On this basis, M School builds up the "small class head teacher management system" to implement the management of moral education of small class head teachers. According to practical feedback and further research, many institutions of "large class turning into small classes" are integrated by M School, with gradual improvement and externalization on new system and new theory.In the practice case of "large class turning into small classes", this thesis focuses on teachers and students'human relations and interactions of small class teaching in researching study, daily conversation, the written form of "conversation" and class meeting activities etc. The research shows that M School's "turning large class into small ones" can give full play to teacher and student's interaction, both teachers and students can feel the benefits of the "turning". The interviews with teachers and students and other related data can tell that the students identified teachers'work on thought induced, academic counseling, psychological counseling, life guidance, etc;teachers also show positive view towards the achievements of teacher and students'cooperation and teacher and teacher's collaboration; teachers and students hold positive attitude about "turning large class into small ones".M School's "turning large class into small ones" has updating teacher and student's idea on teaching and study, promoting their growth and development, improving the quality of education and it provides practical experience to large classes schools which can be referred to.Finally, this paper has a reflection and discussion towards the problems of "turning".
