In most schools, the traditional form of unified teaching is still the main form of organization. However, the problem is that students have significant differences in their learning backgrounds, learning interests and personality characteristics, which the traditional teaching system cannot cater to. This problem has become one of the most difficult ones in junior high school English teaching.This thesis is based on the theory of level teaching, and it relates to the experiment the author conducts in the English classes, with a view to enhancing students'learning of English and improving the efficiency of classroom English teaching. It holds that Concealed Divided-layer Teaching can help the personality development of the students and exhibit educational equality.This thesis consists of five chapters. In the first chapter, the author analyzes the layered background of teaching, the purpose and significance of the research, and the methods. The second chapter introduces the concept of level teaching under the guidance of the relevant theory and traces the historical development of level teaching. The current situation of level teaching is also mentioned. The third chapter talks about how to implement the Concealed Divided-layer teaching at each stage of Junior high school English teaching. In the fourth chapter, the author summarizes that the Concealed Divided-layer Teaching is more advantageous than the traditional class system. It is neither simple "caring the excellent", nor "helping the poor", and therefore, it can meet the needs of students at different levels. In the fifth chapter, the author concludes that Concealed Divided-layer teaching is based on a good knowledge of the students and the use of proper teaching goals for each student. Thus, the Concealed Divided-layer teaching is effective in helping each student make progress, and displays educational equality.
