The recitation is one of the most major pedagogy in our traditional reading teaching. A lot of valuable experiences of research and practice on recitation left by our predecessors still have important significance of our current teaching. In this thesis, recitation research process is divided into three stages:ancient, modern and after the curriculum reform based on abundant reference of literature so that to give a panoramic of recitation pedagogy.As the Chinese characteristic of pedagogy, recitation make for apperceiving and mastering the text entirely; develop an effective mean to train language sense; get through listening, speaking, reading and writing more easily; make for training of taste. Due to lack of specific and accepted definition in theoretic research, recitation is misunderstood and abused in teaching practice. In addition, inequality relationship between teachers and students makes against training of modern way of thinking and also lead to doublespeak phenomena. Bringing up recitation again under the background of curriculum reform mainly aims to reconsider the merits and shortages of reciting pedagogy so that to reconstruct reciting teaching based on fully scan.Recitation is not only a kind of Chinese pedagogy, but also a kind of Chinese courses. As Chinese pedagogy, recitation focus on reappearing and conjecturing the text by collaborating heart, eyes, ears and mouth not necessarily at one time. Recitation will be emphasized as a kind of pedagogy in this thesis. Recitation cannot simply be equivalent to peruse and recite, in fact it can be divided into two levels:one is reading concept at macro level; the other is reading strategy at micro level.At macro level, reconstruction depend on three aspect of objective which are knowledge and skill, process and method, feeling, attitude and sense of worth in detail. It will focus on individual psychological characteristics; improve learning ability and Chinese attainments. At micro level, reconstruction means dividing articles into two types: classical and Vernacular. Corresponding strategy will be adopted to the certain type of article.
