In recent years, the government has issued a series of policies and documents emphasizing the school education, family education and social education to maintain consistency, and especially highlighting the importance of family educational guidance. However, the situation of the family educational guidance is not optimistic. Parents' awareness of family educational guidance is weak. And teachers guide family education on a single pattern and simple contents. Also, schools often neglect the supervision and management on family educational guidance. Directly, the above factors affect the effectiveness of the family educational guidance.Basing on A case of a junior school in Shanghai, synthetically using methods of literature, questionnaire and case study, the author surveys the current situation and problems of family educational guidance in the junior middle school. During the study, the author has carried on the questionnaire to A school faculty, surveys questionnaires 89, and recovers 85, recovery is 95.5%, and valid questionnaires to 68. The author also surveys on parents of four grades. Questionnaires were issued 120 and recovery of 106, recovery is 88.3%, and valid questionnaires to 92. Besides, the author also interviews about 20 school administrators, teachers and parents in all.Study found that, although both sides acknowledge the importance of guidance work, the parents pay more attention than the schools. Teacher's guidance is not in high frequency, the main way of communication is the telephone contact, the family visit or the interview. The school guidance usually focuses on learning. Though schools have certain requirements on that there are still many defects in their management. The family educational guidance has become teachers' individual behavior, so the enthusiasm of teachers' participation in the family educational guidance work is not high. As a result, the family educational guidance effect is not ideal. From the further analysis, the author finds that there are three reasons for that:the attention of school and teachers is not enough, teachers are lack of ability and school administration is not active.On this basis, the author puts forward the following suggestions. In the first place, school authorities should clarify the cognition of family educational guidance. Secondly, the school should improve the family educational guidance of management system, establish a rational structure, and formulate standardized management system. Thirdly, the school should refine process management of family educational guidance:plans to implement comprehensive orderly, work to regulate meticulous, inspection feedback to justice summarize evaluation incentive. Finally, constructing the socialization system of family educational guidance, establishing a platform of communication between parents and schools, periodically carrying on the discussion on improving the work, forming a "school, family and social harmonious education system of the trinity" to promote the children's healthy, comprehensive and sustainable development.
