The reform of primary education is developing in China. And the key of the reform is to change the traditional teaching methods, to stress students as the key factor of teaching, lay eye on students' ability of being life-long learners and sustainable development. Learning-Plan-Teaching is an important method to learn and practice the teaching mode of idea. As a newly-coming reform to teaching concept and teaching mode, Learning-Plan-Teaching mode biased towards operating material, working with teachers' control, focusing on learning method and students' self-study, cultivating outstanding learning ability and innovative consciousness of the new teaching mode.Based on the New-curriculum concept, this study selected two parallel classes in Mudu Senior High School of Jiangsu Province to perform research, with the same weekly classes and teacher. Based on the Senior High School Biology Textbooks, we refined each section of the study. Learning-Plan-Teaching mode was performed in the experimental class, while the traditional teaching mode was performed in the control class. Then the students'cognitive level (acquaintance, understanding, comprehending, mastering and exploration) and school achievement were tested specially. A questionnaire of students' learning interest, ability and the change were used in this research also. The students' view on learning-plan-teaching mode was gathered from both the experimental and control classes.The result shows that the learning-plan-teaching mode was confirmed by the students. The student's interest was improved. And the new teaching mode was good for converting the way of learning, which improved the study enthusiasm and was good for learning validity. The growing of the achievement in experimental class was faster than that in control class. And teachers' leading role and students' subject role got better.Of course, there are some problems in the experiment also, such as some students didn't fit the new mode, some others paid more attention on completing the case than understanding the content, and the new mode overload teachers' work. All these problems will to be settled in the further research.
