Biological History researches the occurrence and the development of biological history. It contains a wealth of scientific thought, scientific approaches, scientific world view as well as the scientific spirit and attitude etc, so it has a high educational value. High School New Curriculum Standards require the students to pay attention to Biological History learning, so Biological History education for students is one of the effective ways to improve biological science literacy.In this paper, in order to provide a theoretical basis for biological history education, I have studied a large number of related literature. Then on this basis, I make a survey of the current status of high school biological history education. With the text analysis method I find that high school biology textbooks in the New Curriculum imply a rich Biological History; through the questionnaire survey I find that students are more one-sided in the understanding of the history of biological science, thus we must strengthen the education of its scientific history. At the same time, with the interview survey method I also find that teachers still have some deviations and deficiencies in the understanding of the educational value of biological science history.What's worse,they even have no effective teaching methods at the practical level. As the first-line teacher, it is necessary to fully exploit the educational value of the history of biological science in the teaching practice and further explore the effective strategies of the biological history education.Preliminary experiments in the history of science education show that:emphasis on the education of the history of biological science and flexible use of a variety of educational strategies for teaching it in many aspects have significant practical effects. It not only helps the students to develop their scientific attitudes, feelings and values, improve their interest in learning; but also helps the students to master scientific methods, improve their capability of scientific inquiry and experimental design, and has a certain value to the students'biological science literacy.
