The study of " burnout", has captured the interest of both researchers and practitioners since the concept was first defined and explored by American Psychologist H.J.Freudenberger in 1974.Especially this study is not sufficient yet in China. Therefore, the author of the thesis bases on the investigation and conducts the survey among 90 English teachers of vocational school in Ningde city. Then the author gets to know and compares their burnout level, analyses the deep-seated factors and brings forward the countermeasures to reduce their career burnout.The study adopts "the measurement of the vocational school teachers burnout", which has been proven effective and practical. The investigation result indicated that:.1. The overall burnout status of vocational school English teachers in Ningde city is severe.2. Their burnout level correlates with the gender, marriage status, teaching age, title of post, whether or not head-teacher, educational level, income, periods per week variables.Through the methods of questionnaires, net forum and interviews, etc, the author analyses the causes of vocational schools English teacher burnout. At the same time,basing on the causes of their burnout, this research proposes some effective methods to prevent and ease their burnout phenomenon.
