Study On The Counterplan Of Adjustment On Teacher Burnout Of Elementary And Middle Schools

Job burnout is the concept put forward in the 1970s by American clinical psychologist Herbert J. Freudenberger during his research of job-related stress, meaning to describe a series of negative symptoms, such as the physical and psychological exhaustion, the decrease of the working ability, the lose of working enthusiasm, the indifference towards others as well as the low sense of achievement in working, which are caused by the inefficient mitigation of long term working pressure. Ever since Freudenberger put forward the concept "Burnout", it has been used specifically on the job-burnout phenomena of people involved in people-helping occupation.In our country, teacher burnout has been paid close attention to at present. This thesis focuses on concerning the living conditions of teachers, exploring stressors in teachers and searching for strategies in coping with teacher burnout.This thesis includes four chapters. Chapter one introduces the teacher burnout generally.We first defined the connotation of teacher burnout, then analyze the representation and harm of teacher burnout and the type of teacher burnout. Chapter two describes the present state of teacher burnout inside and outside our country. Chapter three explores the source of teacher burnout from three aspects, individual, organization, and society. Chapter four devotes to paying more attention to make some suggestion coping with teacher burnout in our country. It is considered in this paper that the adaptation of teacher burnout needs not only the control of the sources which caused these burnout by the managers in school, but also the self-adaptation of the teachers and improving their ability. Many effective strategies of adaptation of teacher burnout were also provided in this paper.
