At the beginning of this century China implemented a series of new curriculum reform, the reform of scientific inquiry is a feature, and inquiry teaching has become one of the important ways in junior middle school physics teaching.It's purpose is to cultivate students' innovative ability and scientific literacy.In the last years, inquiry teaching is payed by the mass education researchers and teaching workers attention, although made some achievements, but also met with some problems in the process of implementing and affected inquiry teaching effect.The paper access literature materials of inquiry teaching in recent years, and based on the research in the analysis of material on inquiry teaching. From the actual conditions of junior middle school physics, explored to fully understand the junior middle school physics teaching of the status. On paper, points out the problems of inquiry teaching on junior middle school physics the form existed, and puts forward some countermeasures on junior middle school physics inquiry teaching,and look for development road for junior middle school physics inquiry teaching, and provide the theory reference. for our junior middle school physics inquiry teaching.This paper'introduction section mainly analysis the background of topic in detailed,and points out the researching significance, the researching contents, the researching methods and researching ideas, reviewed the situation of inquiry teaching. The text mainly includes four chapters content.First,the inquiry teaching in junior middle school physics is summarized. Including the connotation, features, principles, function target,types,and feasibility analysis.of inquiry teaching of junior middle school physics. The second part is the investigation to the junior middle school physics inquiry teaching including the content, method, aim of investigations. Then analysis the main problems existing in current teaching from the survey results in junior middle schools physics.The third part is mainly on the basis of the first two chapters, and inquiry teaching of junior middle school physics was studied in practice, the conventional teaching mode'case-participation-inquiry'at the same time. The fourth part mainly discusses strategies and approaches in physical inquiry teaching, The conclusion of this topic part summarizes research achievements, including theory and practice two parts and the prospect of exploring teaching, and points out the research deficiency, etc.
