Kodaly Music Teaching System is one of the most influential music teachings in the world which named after the famous Hungarian musician, composer and music educator, Kodaly. Since the 1980s, Kodaly's teaching method has gradually penetrated all the areas of music education in China. Make singing activity as its main method, pay attention to the aesthetic experience; focus on the special laws of leaning music; with distinct cultural connotation of the main features of Kodaly teaching system. 30 years, Kodaly education system continues to carry out self-improvement, many countries in the world of music educators have been used Kodaly teaching method in music teaching practice.In a certain period of time and historical conditions, the traditional education model of China had trained a large number of talents during the development and construction of the socialism. But in the 21st century, the drawbacks of the traditional education mode are gradually emerged such as the subject setting, evaluation criteria, etc. all generated from "all services for the entrance examination of university," these exam oriented system can not adapt to the high quality talents training needs of the new era. Therefore, quality education is imperative. Music education as an important component of quality education has been received more and more attention. In 2001, the Promulgated and implement of the new curriculum standard that based on the summary of the best previous education experiences and put forward a set of new curriculum concept, content standards and evaluation system.Under the new situation, how to introduce the Kodaly's Teaching Method to the Chinese music education classroom has become an important and significance topic. So, to explore the localization of the Kodaly music teaching in the field of education, especially in primary schools becomes more significant.This paper mainly to research the Kodaly Teaching Method that had been used in China's music teaching practice; in primary school which in the undeveloped areas. To analysis the main features of Kodaly's Teaching Method and the feasibility and resistance in primary schools. Meanwhile, this thesis select two primary schools in Kaifeng as the subjects, and use the experimental research methods to track and measured the musical ability of students and tried to offer a proposal for the Kodály Teaching Method which used in the undeveloped areas of China's primary school music teaching from two aspects: the teaching materials and teaching procedure.
