Feasibility Study On Setting Up Women's Self Defense Course Of Universities In Henan Province

"Survival"is the most basic human right, and life safety is the most basic condition of people's lives well-being of Even in peacetime, natural and man-made disasters, or other unforeseen emergencies could be seen everywhere. Along with social progress and economic development, school violence and other kinds of criminal cases occur frequently; college girls are extremely vulnerable to "vulnerable groups."Self-defense security education has important practical significance to college girls, who are accounting for nearly one-third in the number.Based on female physiology, psychology, specific traits and other aspects of natural law, As a special type of self-defense surgery, women's Self Defense, where there is a clear difference between men fighting defense and professional and non-professional, was originated. It is characterized by useing abnormal thinking and unconventional means, the minimum force, the most simple and direct method and the simplest of weapons, in the shortest possible time, hitting against the perpetrators, in thus of protecting themselves. In this study, conditions of Women's Self-defense classes in the twenty colleges of Henan Province was investigated, major factors of setting up the course was deeply anglicized, so as to identify problems, make recommendations accordingly. So that a theoretical reference for the teachers and students was provided to promoting the feasibility developing Women's Self-defense in colleges.By using of Literature review, interviews, survey, mathematical statistics and logical analysis, the feasibility of setting up Women's Self Defense Course in Colleges in Henan Province was investigated, the results show that self-protection and self-defense capability of female college students in Henan Province is poor; The work of Publicity, popularity and promotion of women's self defense course have not done enough; Lack of curriculum materials, professional teachers and the training means is another problem; However physical education space, equipment and facilities and other hardware are more perfect. So appropriate recommendations based on the results are proposed: Long-term mechanism of colleges safety education has to establish depending on increasing publicity and support of leaders; after changing concepts of education, optimizing courses, composing a systematic, comprehensive, practical value, and operable special women self defense curriculum materials, we may make the course as the obligatory course in college. We need strengthen training the teachers'professional skills and overall ability, and then increase funding in order to meet the teaching needs of Women's Self Defense Course in college in Henan Province.
