Preliminary Study On Making Use Of Cartoon And Animation On Sports To Stimulate And Foster The Interest In Sports Of Junior High School Students

By way of literature,questionnaire,mathematical statistics,interview and survey, this paper investigates 1000students,1000parents and several P.E. teachers of 10 junior high schools in Dalian in order to improve the students'physical fitness,make good use of cartoons and animations on sports,stimulate and foster interest in sports and participate in physical activities spontaneously. This paper describes the current situation of junior high schools students watching cartoons and animations and their attitude towards cartoons and animations objectively,analyzes the relationship between their interest in sports and their preference to cartoon and animation the attitude of students,P.E. teachers and parents towards cartoon and animation on sports and reveals the negative impact cartoon and animation on sports on the sports life of junior high school students.The results show that:1. Cartoon and animation are very popular in junior high school students. Most of them have seen cartoon and animation on sports. Junior high school students like cartoon and animation; they are also interested in cartoon and animation on sports. Watching cartoon and animation has become a way of reducing pressure and entertainment.2. Junior high school students are interested in sports, while due to the differences of physical and psychological features and recognition and attitude towards sports between males and females, their interests in sports are different. Boys are more interested in sports than girls. Interest in sports of junior high school students is greatly related to their preference of cartoon and animation on sports. Making use of cartoon and animation on sports to stimulate and foster the interest in sports of junior high school students is feasible.3. Junior high school students,P.E. teachers and parents have different attitudes towards making use of cartoon and animation on sports to stimulate and foster the interest in sports. Students are agree, teachers are not familiar with cartoon and animation on sport, but they will learn it if necessary and parents are not familiar with cartoon and animation.4. Cartoon and animation have both positive and negative impacts. They have negative impacts on sports knowledge,sportsmanship,idolatry et al. Making use of cartoon and animation on sports to stimulate and foster the interest in sports needs the effort from society,schools,teachers,parents and students themselves.
