The 21 st century is based on the information age of multimedia technology and network technology,under the background of China's educational reform,with the launch of the educational information 2.0 action plan,multimedia auxiliary teaching has become one of the hot spots of education in this century.Animation teaching mode can combine the knowledge characteristics of junior high school biology and students' own cognitive characteristics,give play to the advantages of intuitiveness,fun and so on,and better guide students' learning of biological knowledge.Based on this,the author carries on a series of studies with Character Animator as a tool,designs animation that meets the needs of biological teaching in junior high school,reduces the degree of knowledge abstraction,and optimizes teaching effect.Character Animator is a character animation software introduced by Adobe,USA,primarily for the production of expressive high-quality animation,its ability to capture facial expressions,make it easy to make character animation and so on.By consulting the literature,the author analyzes the application status of Character Animator software in biology teaching in junior high school,clarifies the significance,purpose and thinking of the research,and formulates the research method.Under the guidance of "The Tower of Experience",cognitive load theory,color psychology and other theories,the author based on the characteristics of Character Animator software,combined with the biological content of junior high school,designed and produced the curriculum teaching animation and output as MP4 format.In this process,the author discusses and summarizes the principles,methods and processes of animation production.The author applies Character Animator animation to teaching practice activities,and analyzes and discusses the animation teaching form through teacher interviews,questionnaires,student achievement analysis and other methods.The educational experiment results show that the teaching effect of Character Animator animation is better than that of general ized video,butit is limited by the objective factors such as low application time and limited design ability,and the difference between the experimental group and the control group is not significant(P=0.78).The comprehensive analysis results from the results that Character Animator animation can effectively enhance students' interest in biological learning,help students understand and remember the knowledge points of the curriculum,promote the formation of good teacher-student relationship,enhance the sense of teaching achievement,and promote the professional development of teachers.At the same time,the author has been improved,which provides useful help for the late optimization of animation content form,and also provides a broader idea for the study of cartoon animation design based on The Character Animator's biology teaching.
