In the late 70s of last century,inefficiency of mother tongue teaching attracted people's attention and caused people's reflection. Language-sense teaching stands out in a number of reform programs. In the past 30 years, based on the unremitting efforts of many experts, scholars and mother tongue teachers, language-sense teaching was deepening gradually in theory and got a positive response in practice. Based on previous studies, this paper, on the one hand, will summarize the results of their research and analyze them further; on the other hand, it will explore actively in practice to promote the reform of the current mother tongue teaching and guide the current practice of mother tongue teaching.The paper consists of four chapters.Chapter One: Previous research on language-sense and language-sense teaching. On the basis of document indexing, this chapter combs the development process of language-sense and language-sense teaching, introduces briefly the background of the rise of language-sense, and investigates further based on the summary of previous research on language-sense and language-sense teaching and then proposes my own point of view.Chaper Two: Theoretical basis of language-sense teaching. Refer to the theory of Wang Shangwen, this chapter looks for the theoretical basis of language-sense teaching from the fields of philosophy, psychology and education, aiming to guide the practice of language-sense teaching.Chaper Three: Basic approaches and methods of language-sense teaching. Learning about language knowledge can contribute to the development of language-sense.The basic approaches of language-sense teaching are language-sense practice and language-sense analysis. The two approaches have cross areas. Language-sense practice is to enable students to contact specific speech materials to form a sensitive, accurate and rich language-sense by listening, reading, copying, memorizing, speaking and writing. Language-sense practice stresses experience, which means coming from life and then going back to life. It can use Reading Method, Infection Method, Comparative Method, Tasting Method and Imaginative Method and so on. Language-sense analysis is to analyze and judge the content and form of speech materials and the process of feeling itself by rational ways and to analyze how the language is used here. The contents of language-sense analysis consist of pronunciation, semantic, grammar, pragmatic and style and so on. Specific methods of operation are Add-minus Method,Order-transfering Method,Replacement Method,Connection Method and Errors-correcting Method and so on.Chaper Four: Three types of courses of language-sense teaching.Based on some modes of language-sense teaching and my own teaching experience, this chapter sorts out specific procedures of three types of courses which are Reading-by-teaching-tasting Class, Appreciating-molding Class and Reading-by-oneself-perception Class.
