Colleage young teachers play an important role in the teaching and academic of the university.Their psychical compression becomes strong with lack of teaching experience and low technical post.They often suffur job burnout.And this have a negative influence to teachers'commitment.Studies on young teachers'commitment help promote the school's administration.Work values is one's stable belief while achievement goal orientation describes the reason why one do something.Therefore,both work values and achievement goal orientation are related to teaching commitment.This study will discuss the mechanism of their action.At first we surveyed 100 teachers by the method of qualitative and quantitative research to discuss the framework of achievement goal orientation and make the colleage teachers'achievement goal orientation questionaire.Then we researched 280 teachers with questionaire to study the relationship among the college young teachers'work values,achievement goal orientation and occupational commitment.Major findings of study are as follows:1.The college young teachers'achievement goal orientation questionaire,which was made of 16 items,included four factors:mastery goal,ability approach,ability avoidance and work avoidance.Studies showed questinaire's reliability and validity achieved excellent levels.2.The level of college young teachers'occupational commitment was high.The level of college young teachers'work values was high.The level of college young teachers'achievement goal orientation was high. Different school had differences on the college young teachers'occupational commitment. Different school and gender had differences on the college young teachers'achievement goal orientation.Different ages and gender had differences on the college young teachers'work values.3.There were significantly different correlation between teachers'occupational commitment and two dimentions of wok values.4.There were significantly different correlation between teachers'occupational commitment and achievement goal orientation. The level of occupational commitment became high significantly with the increasing level of achievement goal orientation.5. There were significantly different correlation between teachers'achievement goal orientation and two dimentions of wok values. The level of achievement goal orientation became high significantly with the increasing level of work values.6. Teachers'achievement goal orientation played a significant mediating role in the effect of work values on occupational commitment.
