The Chinese curriculum standard in 2003 shows the reading teaching is the process of the dialogue among students teachers and texts and reading is students individual process so teachers analysis should not replace the students reading practice.The New Curriculum advocates that in the reading teaching Chinese,students can have multiple interpretation and individual reading and students one allowed to have unigue experience.Since the implementation of the New Curriculum,the class of Chinese reading shows a great change in which students dare to speak and are willing to express their opinions.Students get more respect and at the same time,the ideology of the teachers teaching is liberalized. Their understanding of the text is not confined to the reference and they inject more thoughts into the interpretation of the New Curriculum should be noticed. Because of more attention to multiple interpretation and individual reading, teachers give up the guiding function in class,which leads to the students casual interpretation of the passage set makes the meaning of the passage go widely and the passage seriously overloaded.In the Chinese reading class.This paper tries to find the theoretical basis of the reading teaching reform from the development of hermeneutics and analyze the causes of excessive interpretation in the teaching of modern text.Besides,it also tries to find the harm and the methods to solve problems.This paper is divided into four parts. The first chapter mainly talks about the problem of excessive interpretation of the text existing in the reading teaching in middle school under the background of the New Curriculum. The second chapter tries to find the theoretical basis of multiple interpretation and individual interpretation advocated in the New Curriculum from the meaning and development of hermeneutics, the influence of hermeneutics on the reading teaching and the related problem about hermeneutics and the reading teaching of Chinese New Curriculum. It also advocates that the interpretation of the text also has restricted areas. In the third chapter it talks about the harm in the reading teaching caused by the excessive interpretation in the reading teaching of modern text from the meaning of excessive interpretation and points out that the textual interpretation should have limitation. The fourth chapter talks about solving the problem of excessive interpretation from four aspects. First,teachers teaching in grade three should understand the New Curriculum.Second,teachers should recognize the importance of the reading teaching of modern text. Third, teachers should focus on textual teaching and the limitation of the text. Fourth,teachers should improve self-cultivation.
