The Reading Teaching plays a special role in Chinese Teaching. This teaching module not only consumes the largest part of time, also undertakes the most arduous task; it had accumulated abundant experiences by the practice of teaching object, teaching content, teaching form and teaching method, which make it a profound tradition of Chinese Teaching. However, the Reading Teaching has been stayed basically in an experiential level during its long-term practice; generally, it aims to obtain the rational self-consciousness in mastering the laws of communication by the substantive practice of imitation. This approach may conform to the laws of language teaching and the improvement of listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities, in fact, from the perspective that gain the efficiency by the conscious application of teaching method, it is far from that. Since modern pedagogy had developed profoundly, it is imperative for Chinese Teaching to alter from experiential practice to scientific way; to draw the theory from practice so as to guide the Chinese Reading Teaching; transform the inductive, experiential Reading Teaching knowledge into deductive, theoretical Reading Teaching science. This thesis aims to study Reading Teaching at the basis of its methods and principles, tries to explore the utmost efficiency of how to improve students' listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities...
