Selection And Application Of Extracurricular English Reading Materials In Junior High Schools

Extracurricular English reading is a necessary complement of English teaching in junior high schools.Based on the related works and researches, this paper mainly deals with the selection and application of Extracurricular English reading materials.Some principles have been put forward according to the actual teaching environment and some procedures have been defined to guide the specific operation.To cope with the needs of students and the great demand of English reading in real life,it is necessary to utilize the multi-dimensional reading materials to improve reading and writing skills of students and their ability to access information as well.At the conclusion part of the paper, some suggestions for how to guide students to read efficiently are made for fellow teachers.
