High school curriculum reform is one of the primer parts of the basic education curriculum reform in China. Since 2007, HeiLongJiang Province also joined the reform. To implement the new curriculum, we work at the front line as teacher, who have the responsibility to complete implement them, and give full play to our own enthusiasm and creativity, study hard, keep exploring and play the teachers'leading role in the implementation of the curriculum.There are 2 objects for the new curriculum. One is to make a universe progress for students' Chinese literacy; the other one is to provide selective development for different students. This shows us the multiple features of the new curriculum, such as basic, balance, choice and diversity. And reading of the contemporary literature is an indispensable role in the new curriculum. And how to strengthen the Chinese literacy of the students; how to effectively carry out the implementation of the reading instruction become one of our essential research topic. We have to find the proactive strategies to achieve it.This essay only analyzes concisely the research and practice of the contemporary literature reading instruction in senior high school. It includes 3 chapters. The introduction section describes background, significance of the topic and the research approaches. In the body, first of all, it lists the existing problems, and then describes the change of text books, teachers and students. Secondly, it makes an exposition about the basic rules of the senior highschool curriculum reform. Thirdly, it shows us the research result of 2 types reading test questions in the college entrance examination. That includes discussion class reading and literary class reading. In the analysis of the reading type, it mainly show us the stylistic features, characteristics of the college entrance examination, syllabus interpretation, questions existing among the students and some tips to answer these questions. In the practice part, it mainly focuses on the case studies, classroom recording and review of the result. Theselected articles mainly from the college entrance examination of Hainan and Ningxia in last a few years. Fiction and essay are included in literary reading researchand objective question is included in discussion reading research.During more than 2 years of teaching research and practice, through theoretical study, case studies, questionnaires, lesson display and other methods, my students made a remarkable progress in the reading of contemporary literature.
