| With the rapid development of science and technology, TV media, which constitutes the significant factor influencing children socialization in rural areas with school, family and peer group, has gained a great growth. They can not recognize and judge the negative information on television and therefore this does harm to their socialization in areas such as morality, communication and learning. Media plays a key role in the process of interaction between TV and children.Therefore, it is the only choice to improve the media literacy of rural children in order to make sure the positive interaction between the children and the TV. In the prospective of media literacy, this survey investigate children in town A, Hubei province by sampling and interviewing. The paper reveals that the situation of media literacy of children in rural areas is not optimistic. By regression analysis, the paper finds out that the television literacy of the children was affected by three main factors, family, peer group and school. The factor of family includes the school record of father,the frequency of watching TV with parents and that of talking about TV with them; The factor of peer group includes the relationship with them and the frequency of talking about TV with them; the school factor includes if the teacher has taught the right way to watch TV. Finally, the paper comes up with the strategy of promoting media literacy of children in rural areas. |
