Research On The Effects Of New Media On Children's Socialization

Socialization runs through the whole person's life,each individual shall acquire the behavior of good habits first from the childhood,establish value scale,shape an independent outlook on life,world view and values.So it is not only an initial stage but also a critical stage in the whole socialization of life,acting as a fundamental stage and bedding function.With the process of social modernization and the development of the Internet,the network has become an important part of people's lifestyles,the network users are getting younger and younger,the new media began to become the key factor to impact the socialization of children.Compared with the traditional media,the new media has the advantages of fast dissemination of information,large information capacity and the ability to transmit information in bilateral directions,together with the entertainment content of new media communication,communication mode combined with audio,video,etc.,which coincides with children's cognitive characteristics,attracting the attention of many children.The question to be studied in this paper is how much is the penetration of new media in children's lives? What are the impacts on the socialization of children? How to eliminate the negative impact of new media on the socialization of children ? With these problems,this paper first defines the core concepts by literature analysis,compares the relationships between traditional media and new media,and then uses the questionnaire survey to describe the new media influence on children,at last analyzes the influence of new media on the socialization of children from four aspects with the methods of chi-square test and analysis of variance: moral socialization,political socialization,socialization of gender roles and socialization of knowledge and skills.Through the study,I find that the new media broadens the way children get political information,provides a platform for political participation,enhances the real life of interpersonal relationships,but the new media on the negative impact of children can not be ignored,such as affecting children's moral feelings,impacting the moral behavior,affecting the legal consciousness,influencing the learning abilityand so on.In light of the inevitable circumstances of the new media,children also have the rights to access to new media,this article from the point that howtobe healthilysocialized of children,suggesting the following advisements:respect for the growth of children,change the moral education model;construct equal and harmonious intergenerational relations,create a healthy family media environment;build up campus official website,innovate media literacy education model;strengthen the daily management of new media,draft children network protection laws and regulations.
