Innovation is the soul of national development and an inexhaustible motive force for the prosperity of the country. The rapid development of the society requires citizens to have good humanistic literacy and scientific literacy as well as innovative spirit, inquisition ability, cooperation consciousness and open views etc. To cultivate a new generation of unqualified and outstanding citizens is the obligatory responsibility of educators. Chinese teaching of Middle School has undertaken the mission to improve students' Chinese accomplishment. Then reading teaching, the essential part of Chinese teaching in middle school, is playing an important role in improving students' Chinese accomplishment, cultivating their aesthetic interests and many other aspects. The cultivation of students' reading comprehension cannot be like the blind men patting an elephant, and it should be accomplished under the guidance of teachers, led by the goals and scientific effective learning methods. The students should gradually accumulate experience in specific reading practice to enhance text reading ability. The comparative method, which has been the basic method of Chinese traditional education since ancient times and been carried forward by generations of scholars and teachers continuously, is now widely applied in every aspects of school education and teaching. In Chinese reading teaching of middle school, appropriate use of the comparative method is beneficial for students to better understand, conclude and accumulate knowledge, so as to effectively improve students' text reading ability. One of the basic concepts in Chinese Curriculum Standards is to actively advocate an independent cooperative and explorative learning style. Therefore, with the guidance of the new curriculum concepts, I hope to cultivate students' explorative ability through comparative reading. In other words, this paper takes a comparative explorative reading research of Chinese teaching in junior middle school.This paper is divided into four major sections: In Section 1, the thesis mainly studies the connotation and significance of comparative explorative reading research. This part defines comparative explorative reading first, and then it states the significance of comparative explorative reading research from four aspects– stimulating students' reading interests, improving teaching efficiency and broadening and deepening students' mind, the cultivating students' autonomous inquisition abilityIn Section 2, the thesis focuses on the methods and strategies of comparative explorative reading research. This part illustrates the methods from three aspects. Firstly, the thesis shows the design of comparative points, including its sauces from either teachers'presuppositions or students'reading experiences, and its heuristic and profound design philosophy. Secondly, the author describes five concrete methods of comparative explorative reading research, that is, addition method, substitution method, chart method, supposition method and link method. Thirdly, this thesis discusses the principles of comparative explorative reading research from the aspects of this method itself, teachers and students.In Section 3, the thesis discusses the practice types of comparative explorative reading research. This part expounds the comparative study in texts and between texts. The former study mainly presents the comparative study from wording and phrasing, organization, characters and descriptions while the latter study mainly presents the comparative study from five aspects, including the same subjects but different texts, the same themes but different texts, texts and the original manuscripts, teaching texts and self-learning texts, classical style of writing modern writing.In section 4, the thesis studies the evaluation and the test of comparative reading, Combined with comparative reading part of examinations for secondary or high schools. Then the thesis mainly discusses types of selected article, test contents and scores, skills inspiration, arguable points of the test.This paper begins with the connotation of Comparative Explorative Reading teaching, and then it expounds the significance of Comparative Explorative Reading teaching. The thesis discusses the practice types of comparative explorative reading research so well as the evaluation and the test of comparative reading, Combined with comparative reading part of examinations for secondary or high schools. Writing key is more exploring reading teaching practice type and approach strategy. The innovation of this paper lies in the design of comparative point in order to put forward the author's unique personal practice and ideas. Moreover, in some degree, combining the author's own practical experiences and the successful cases of some excellent teachers on comparative explorative reading teaching, this paper makes a research on evaluation methods. At the same time, the author also gives some advice on the test request. Hopefully, Comparative Explorative Reading teaching of middle school can play a more important role in the Chinese teaching as well as enhancing students' text reading ability and researching capacity.
