In recent years,with the rapid expansion of our domestic higher education,the scale of postgraduate education has been increasing continuously,and the enrollment number of students majoring in theory of spores pedagogy and training has been expanding year by year.To some extent,their graduation has reliwved the problem of demand for talents with high acodemic qualifications in P.E.However,the dramatical expanding of P.E.master graduate students makes it strenuous for educational resources;some physical colleges and universities have some problems and insufficiency in graduate students'selection,training and so on,thus the quality of graduate students in theory of sports pedagogy and training is difficult to get due indemnificatory,which can not fully satisfy the requirements of social develop-ment.Yet,the primary coverage of graductes'future career who major in theory of sports pedagogy and training are motor technigue,skill and related teaching,training and fitness instructing,which are also means of subsistence in market economic society.By investigation and analysis to current situation of cultivation of four practical ability for P.E.master graduate students in Shanghai,the accthor puts forward some corresponding countermeasures and suggestions to point against the deficiency,and provides some references for the management on graduates'more scientific and reasonable educatin and cultivation,helps stedents further improve their practical ability that would better suit and meet social development.Through diagnosis on graducate student entrance examination,students,tutors, teaching objectives and curriculum provision upon theory of sports pedagogy and training majors in Shanghai,we can reach the following conclusions.1.The entrance examination generally pays less attention to the practice with too much importance attached to the theory teaching,although there are motor skills exams while retesting,they become a mere formality and lack testing on practical ability on teaching,training and fitness instructing.2.The form of enrollment is of underaction with low degree of freedom,which is not propitious for fully check on candidates. 3.Increasing enrollment brings disproportionality on the ratio of teachers to pupils and irregularity on quality of graducates,which imposes burden on tutors among whom there are great differeaces in the level of ability,and lacks differential treatment on master graduates,which goes against enhancement of individual overall quality.4.The orientation of training objectives which lags behind the needs of social development is inaccurate.one hand,degrees of bachelor,madter and doctor are not methodically arranged and jumble on objectives;on the other hand,antithesis between academic and applied mechanisms is of shortage.5.Educational system has become a debatable hotspot in cultivation of graduates;curriculum provision is in need of elective courses in physical training and practical courses in teaching,training and fitness instructing,which makes against development of practical ability for master graduate students.6.Master graduate students have high enthusiasm in participating in training that makes for improvement on physical skills and technique,but the training plans,objectives and methods need to be formulated and integrated;social practices on teaching,training and fitness instructing are seldom taken part in so that the developent of practical ability is hindered.The main recommendations are as follows:1.The proposed treatment of post-graduate school departments Expansion calm, proper control of enrollment.2.Strictly on the candidates campaign organization skills assessment and examination system,so attention to theoretical knowledge and practical ability of a comprehensive assessment system for selecting students.3.To speed up the establishment and application-oriented academic degree system, and varies from person to person on the train master;establish and strictly implement the system of flexible structure.4.Suggested that conditions permit,the school set up training units in the curriculum appropriate to adjust the proportion of subjects;efforts to enhance the students practical ability of the training courses to enable the students to practice the learning and training capacity. 5.Give full play to the Master of the impact of mentors to enhance the professional training of physical education graduate of the vocational skills training.6.Physical education and training post-graduate Master of Science,reasonable arrangements for the practice of the capacity of the four training and internships to enhance their practical ability of the four.
