Research On The Reform China's Statistics Indicators System

The importance of statistics as a reflection of social development based on numbers has become more and more obvious in the society. In order to promote the innovation of system and methods of statistics, professionals in such area have contributed a huge amount of effort; nevertheless, the current system of statistical indicator is still far from perfect, and there is a significant difference between the quality of governmental statistical service and that demanded by society. And based on my working experience, researches by other professionals, and publications and articles on statistical system, methods and system of statistical indicators, both at home and abroad, I have come to realize the existing problems of the statistical system in China and irreversible trend of its renovation. It's my hope that by sharing my own research and analysis of the problems of statistical system in China, by putting forward constructive suggestions and even methods regarding statistical system, design of statistical indicators, statistical standards and relevant methods of researches, the innovation of statistical indicator system in China can be soon improved, so are the credibility, practicability and authority of statistics in the society.According to the working experience and the analysis of relevant articles, below are some of my new conceptions and understandings of statistics:1. The existing defects of statistics management system is the fundamental element causing problems of national statistical indicator system. The key to successful innovation of national statistical indicator system lies in the improvement of statistical management system, such as to establish national level statistics work commission and corresponding system of joined conference, small units of statistics within departments, separate statistics work for some industries from the comprehensive statistics;2. It's important to revise and improve the statistical standards and strengthen the effective implementation of such standards in other governmental departments;3. We need to establish a sound and company oriented system in order to collect useful figures and information. The innovation of statistical indicator system is anything but an important task that requires persistence and expansive knowledge, and I am afraid my general suggestions of statistical system innovation would prove to be hard to implement within a short period of time, due to different limit of conditions. Nevertheless, I hope my above point of views would be helpful to the future development of statistical work in China.
