Along with the development of information technology, Web-based education has become an important way for on-the-job adult who want continuing educated. Web-based education is different from traditional education. The very difference is that the relationship between teachers and students is quasi separation from space-time. The implementation of disciplinary contents and teaching activities is finished by network. The on-the-job adult learners mainly complete the study through self-study. However, because of the limits of learning time and the weakly knowledge foundation,they often can't understand knowledge deeply, can't create knowledge network and can't understand the knowledge-points connections deeply. It becomes one of the main reasons that block learners to accept distance learning.Mindmap is a simple and effective thinking tool by reading related papers. It uses specific graphics to organize and show the relationship of knowledge, helps learners for effective thinking and memory. Through the nodes, line and succinctly graphics, Mindmap can eliminat the nonessential and secondary information, present the complex knowledge structure, show the contaction of each knowledge-points vividly and form knowledge network. It makes learners produce meaningful learning and deepen the understanding on knowledge points.The purpose of this paper is to explore how to use mindmap in Web-based course. And after the on-the-job adult learners study in this way, their learning interest can improve, better able to memory, understanding and using computer basic knowledge, and improve the learning results. This study makes "computer application basis" Web-based course as the research object. Author choose distance learners, organize the teaching experiment and hope to get positive studying effect.This paper mainly adopts literature reading, questionnaire survey, experimental method, discussion method proposed, comes up with the application mode in the Web-based course design, creats application model for actual operation. I will use SPSS, EXCEL to analyze the collected data. The results show that using Mindmap can better present the knowledge curriculum framework of Web-based courses; using Mindmap can better able to inspire students' meaningful construction; using Mindmap can improve students'memory efficiency; using Mindmap can improve the learning interest of the students.
