As we all know, the civilization process of modern society depends to a high degree on education. In particular, upper secondary education plays a very key role in the whole national education system. One of the important projects in the reform and development in middle high schools is to reinforce the featured school development. Currently, the focus of Chinese elementary education reform in China has been on the establishment of featured schools. As one of the means to develop school culture and features, student societies in middle high schools show more and more importance. Thus, a lot of attention has been attracted in current research on the development of middle high school societies.This paper aims to find out the existing problems that middle high school student societies may have through rounded investigation in the student society in Leshan No.1 Middle High School. It also explores the necessity of building up featured schools, as well as the roles played by student societies. To do the research, various research methods are used. It is an empirical research, and also a comparative research. In this research, it first reviews the achievement that student societies made in recent years in Leshan No.1 Middle High School and finds out their problems. Moreover, the author discusses the reasons of the problems and gives valuable suggestions. Last, the future development of student societies in middle high schools is presented. Thus, this paper provides useful information for the development of middle high school societies not only in Leshan No.1 Middle High School, but also in other middle high schools in different cities in China.
