| Taekwondo is a competitive sports event introduced from South Korea to China and has long been loved by people since the introduction. With more people learning it, many Taekwondo clubs or training centers have been opened all over the country. Leshan, as a famous tourism city, also enjoys quick development in taekwondo clubs under the influence of national craze for taekwondo.This paper finds the problems in the development of taekwondo clubs in Leshan and puts forward countermeasures suitable for the local conditions by making an investigation into and analyzing the management, coach and trainees in the taekwondo clubs in Leshan with the method of the questionnaire, documentation, expert interviews, statistic law and logic induction.The main conclusions in this paper is as follows:1) there are 20 registered taekwondo clubs(fit-keeping center) in Leshan, most of which are small-sized clubs or training centers distributed in the developed districts or counties with over 50% located in the downtown area of Leshan.(2)the major modes of business operation in the clubs is individual operation with franchising and joint-stock system as a supplement.(3) about 70% percent of the floor space of the clubs is small with 30% meeting the taekwondo industry training standard.(4)The knowledge structure of the management of the clubs is not proper and they lack advanced and scientific management experience.(5) The coaches in the clubs have poor education background with few having received professional training in the organizations authorized by the country and they have few chances to receive further education. (6) The trainees in the clubs are mainly kids and teenagers who are trained twice a week during working days and 3-4 times during vocations and few have received training for over 2 years. (7).The charges in the clubs are not in unified and the phenomenon of malicious hard bargains still exist. (8).The main channel to sell the products in the clubs is mainly through pamphlets and then on the internet.The proposals put forward in this paper are:(l) The sports management department in Leshan should arrange the development of the taekwondo market in a scientific and reasonable way and the administrative department should lay down strict management systems to crack down on the improper discharge by the taekwondo clubs to protect the operators’and the consumers’personal interest.(2) In order to enjoy better development, the taekwondo clubs should be equipped with complete hardware facilities and should cooperate or communicate with their peers within the province or the city to share resources in the boom seasons.(3) The clubs should seek proper market positioning for the local economic level and consumers’need according to the their motivation so as to meet different consumers needs. (4) In the management of the staff, the clubs should introduce modern management mode, establish teaching teams with high quality, strengthen the teachers’ professional ethic training and improve the professional quality of the coaches.(5) The clubs should perfect their relevant systems to make the managerial staff, coaches and consumers to know well their respective rights and obligations and strictly abide by the rules and regulations so that there are rules to follow in case of problems.(6) Each club should make use of new ways of propaganda, strengthen the investment in television, newspapers, magazines and radio, besides the traditional ways of media. |
