A Study On Pedagogy Books' Humanity

Since our national Open & Reform, the pedagogy books'compiling has developed a lot and many pedagogy books have flourished in the markets. However, most of these books lack humanity, which leads to neglecting human beings. Consequently, the construction of a scientific subject structure and education implementation is adversely affected. With people's-oriented highly emphasized, we can promote education from this angle. We can retrospect on our current pedagogy books, and try to compile books with humanity in mind. This paper analyzes the humanity of current pedagogy books in the following way.Humanity for pedagogy books can be defined to focus on people's development, adapt themselves to people's needs during their growing-up, and have more respects on people's dignity. This paper analyzed six famous pedagogy books compiled by 12 key normal universities. After analyzing the catalogues, content, logic and extra-curriculum resources, I find the insufficiency for humanity in these 6 books. In addition, I did a survey among teachers and students who used these 6 books, finding the insufficiency for humanity.Reasons for insufficiency in humanity can be categorized to the following four aspects. First, the authors are affected by their time beings, which mirror its peculiar historical and cultural characteristics. Second, most of the authors are experts solely in pedagogy. They do not have enough understanding in anthropology, physiology, psychology and so on. Third, the authors failed to deliver humanity due to their own poor ability, although maybe they knew the importance of humanity; Forth, the teaching targets do not may adequate attention to humanity.After a full analyses of the six pedagogy books, in order to shell more attention on people's comprehensive development, the author conveys some constructive suggestions:pedagogy books should keep on human beings and the guild line for compiling these books should help people's comprehensive and harmonious development; The team for pedagogy books compiling should include experts from various arena, especially these have deep understanding on humanity; Improve the humanity at books'structure, content, teaching process and so on.
