The Relationship Between Leisure Sport Culture And Fitness Participation In Urban Residents

Leisure sport activities have become an integral part of everyday life for urban residents. However, the leisure sport culture in China is still in the initial stage compared with the western developed countries. The great development of national fitness participation depends on the construction of leisure sport culture. Therefore, this study introduces the research results of social psychology to analysis leisure sports from new breakthrough point-culture, in order to provide the theoretical basis for the relevant application research and improve the fitness participation. The theoretical model and hypotheses of the relationships between leisure sport culture and fitness participation are proposed based on the literature review and Theory of Reasoned Action and culture related theory. Secondly, design the measurement scale which would be tested with preliminary research samples through the exploratory factor analysis. Finally, the revised scale is used for formal investigation; the software PASW18.0 and AMOS 18.0 are employed to analysis, and then discusses research results and puts forward practical advices. The research results of empirical study show that participatory attitude and behavioral intention are intermediary variable between leisure sport culture and fitness participation. That means participatory attitude and behavioral intention are the mediators between leisure sport culture and fitness participation that tests the hypothesis model better. Therefore, there are significant effects on participatory attitude and behavioral intention to improve the participation during the development of leisure sport culture.
