In the current global reform of basic education, the first and foremost goal is to develop students'ability to innovate, and the innovation ability comes from the problem identifying and solving, and raising new problems on the basis of solving the previous problem, so the problem- solving teaching emerged in the 80s of last century becomes the main method of classroom teaching among every country's new round of curriculum reform. The research of problem solving teaching model also occupies an important position in the new curriculum reform of China, and it is widely applied to history teaching in middle school, and it has been attached great importance by majority theoretical researchers. To the status of "problem- set up" in history teaching, this essay, on the basis of prior foundings and knowledge, attempts to systematically analyze the "problem- set up", and attempts to point out some current problems and deficiency in the practice of research.This essay consist of two parts:In the first part, it mainly deals with the reason of bringing forward the study, a simple study of current domestic and foreign research, and pointing out the significance of this study. In the second part, it mainly deals with the basic theory, role, principle study of "problem- set up", and the general strategy study of raising problem during the current domestic history teaching. In conclusion it analyzes reflectively the existing problem in the current history teaching in middle school to better serve the history teaching.
