Along with the advancement of the new curriculum, the senior high school geography textbooks reform and adjust continually. Among them, the changes in appeared mode of "activity column" is the lightspot in this reform of the new geography textbook. It has an important influence on the transformation of traditional geography teaching and learning style. Researching on the influence, can enrich and perfect the geography teaching theory, help teachers use the "activity columns" more effectively, and realize transformation of geography teaching and learning style. This paper mainly includes seven parts:First part:preface.Discoursing the background, significance, status, thoughts, characteristics and innovative points.Part two:giving a definition of the appeared mode of "activity column" in the senior geography textbook. Expounding the relationships between appeared mode of geography textbook and teaching and learning style.Part 3:puting forward the theoretical principle. They include modem learning theory, modern teaching theory, multiple intelligence theory, Dewey's textbook psychologicalization theory, and the ideas of new geography curriculum.Part four:methods of document analysis and comparative analysis are adopted in the comparative research on the changes in appeared mode of "activity column" in three aspects which are the types and quantity, concrete manifestation, goal and function in the versions of 1980s,1990s, and the 21st century new curriculum standard senior geography textbook. It is concluded that the transformation and the theoretic influence which the changes have on the traditional geography teaching and learning style.The fifth part:methods of laboratory analysis and classroom observation are adopted in the on-site investigation of the geography teaching and learning style in the changes in appeared mode of "activity column". According to my observation analysis results, it summarizes the progress and problems which the real geography teaching and learning style in the changes in appeared mode of "activity column".The sixth part:to the problems, this paper puts forward nine effective teaching strategies.The first is establishing the "student-based theory" in the activities, and recognizing the connotation of the concept of "changing learning style".The second is studying students' specific learning affection, and lighting the desire of activities. The third is grasping the content ownership of the activities, and deepping cut the teaching value of the activities. The four is choosing the ways of activities flexibly, and optimizing the teaching means. The five is using the practical activity to infiltrate the leaning methods in order to develop the geographic metacognitive knowledge; The six is using the problem-chain form of activity to edifying and guiding effectively in order to strengthen the ability of thinking training. The seven is using research activity to organize the learning community in order to realize the effective communication and multidimensional interaction. The eight is paying attentioen to the secondary development of activities in order to promote the effect of activity effectively. The nine is adopting multiple assessment ways of activity in order to increase the students' success experience. Some strategies combine with the examples to illustrate.The 7th part:epilogue. They are include the basic conclusions, problems and prospects.
