Physical education specialty has the longest teaching history in the higher physical education in our country. It has taken heavy responsibilities of training sports talented people for a long time. With the development of times, the basic education curriculum must be reformed. In 2001, the curriculum reform of basic education in China was in full swing. Following the deep reform of the basic education curriculum, our country's reform of Basic Physical Education has been put on the agenda. As the cradle of sports talents, Physical Education should be reformed and go with the tide. In 2003, Ministry of Education promulgated"University and College Physical Education Major Curriculum Program"as beginning of the reform. Hebei province, as a major sports power, is facing a new situation, in which the sports institutes must continue to reform and improve. Reform should continue to be deepened especially on courses, and teaching quality and efficiency should be improved to educate sports talents that meet the social needsThe research takes six universities (colleges) as research object. The paper mainly adopts literature research, expert interview, expert investigation, mathematical statistics and comparison analysis as research methods. The study shows that professional ability and professional knowledge are the highest weighted values, which need to be trained and grasped. Besides, general ability and related knowledge can not be ignored as well, to which more attention should also be paid. The results showed that ability and knowledge structure should at the wholeness and multilevel level. It requires focus on personnel training, as well as paying attention to the structure's balance and harmony. Based on a comparative analysis of the quantity, category and curriculum structure of curriculum settings of six physical education training program, we show that although all colleges and universities have opened many new cross-disciplinary courses, some training objects still have some inadequacy such as narrow caliber training, unreasonable curriculum setting, lack of teaching courses and general natural science courses, monotonous teaching practice form and so on. Based on student ability,knowledge structure and status of curriculum setting, the study reorganized and divided various types of courses into physical education teaching module, sports humanities module, sports and social science curriculum module, physical natural sciences course module, sport specific technology courses and related course module. The main course modules, the general required courses, restricted electives courses, free elective courses are determined after being screened by experts. The physical education curriculum system was built finally according to"University Undergraduate Curriculum Physical Education program". The proportion of teaching physical education courses and practical courses in curriculum system were increased and some tools courses and basic natural science courses were added. Some operational programs in the curriculum form were added, such as social investigation, organization contests and so on. The purpose of this research is to provide useful theoretical reference for the reform of P·E major curriculum system.
