Parenting Anxiety Of Parents With Children In Nursery School And Its' Influence On State Anxiety

Parenting anxiety is a kind of psychological discomfort generated in the background of today's society, which was caused by the children's educating problem, manifested as excessive worry, anxiety, sensitivity and so on . This phenomenon is particularly common in China due to the one-child policy practices. Serious parenting anxiety will not only greatly threatened the parents physical and mental health, but also the children who were grew up under the parenting full of anxiety appeared various psychological or behavioral problems.The purpose of this study is to use experimental methods to confirm that, under the influence of the state anxiety, parents'judgment will occur must bias when the conditions were children related. This bias will probably lead parents to take radical or irrational behavior affecting the child's activities. At the same time, through the survey of parents we would like to understand what are the main content of their parenting anxiety? And what are the reasons it may caused by? Finally, we expect to alleviate parents'parenting problems and provide scientific suggestions for better parenting.To achieve the above aims, this study adopts questionnaire and interview method combining with the experiment. Through consulting a large number of data and interview to the parents compile a questionnaire, to examine the contents of parenting anxiety and its causes. In the process of fill in the questionnaire, we introducing an experimental intervention to detect the influence of state anxiety on cognitive judgments. The results show that: In anxiety conditions, parents will more be interpreted fuzzy situation which children related as dangerous or threatening, and deem that situation may detrimental to the child or will lead both themselves and their children do not feel happy. But this cognitive bias in judging didn't show significant difference between fathers and mothers; Judging from the data results, children's social development problems relatively more easily causing parents parenting anxiety than physical development and cognitive development problems. And among them, children's upbringing in the three generations under one roof family is the most concern of parents. The major contradiction came from the discrepancy in upbringing concept between parents and grandparents.This study through the experimental methods of introducing anxiety examined parents who are not clinical anxiety disorders and with healthy children, in the state of anxiety, what kind of deviation will happen to their cognitive judgment. Compared to previous research about anxiety which more preferred anxiety disorders or the family with sick child as the research object, the results of this study are more useful for the general population.
