To meet the needs for students'progress, and to advance with the times as well as the trend of development all over the world by the wave of knowledge-competition and innovation-driven, it is important to study the project on how to foster students'creativity, especially during the period of basic education, where the foundation of creativity cultivation should be laid.Physics is a fundamental natural science based on experiments. Physics experimental teaching is not only the basic mode and means, but also the primary content and stage in the physics curriculum teaching. With the implementation of physics experimental teaching in high school, it would be better for students to validate, to study, and to understand the knowledge and laws of physics. In addition, it would play an irreplaceable role in arousing students'interests for learning physics, enlightening and inspiring their creative potential, and fostering their creative capability.The purpose of this thesis is to establish a theoretical approach for inspiring students'creative potential and cultivating students'creative capability, which is valued by means of applying the preliminary theoretical approach in the practical research of physics experimental teaching; and also, to explore the way of measurement and assessment on students'creativity. The effects of practice would be measured through taking the generated quantitative evaluation.The meaning of this study about fostering students'creativity based on the process of physics experimental teaching in high school: At the macroscopic level, is to launch the fundamental requirements of the curriculum reform for the basic education and to carry out the main requirements of the guidelines of'National Program for Medium-term and Long-term Educational Reform and Development(for the year of 2010 till 2020)'and'Shanghai Program for Medium-term and Long-term Educational Reform and Development(for the year of 2010 till 2020)'; At the microscopic level, is to adapt to the essence of physics, to alleviate the problems existed in physics experimental teaching in high school, to improve teaching performance for physics curriculum, and to meet the basic requirements for the full development of each student.The contents of this study focus on creativity cultivation based on the process of physics experimental teaching, and start with the explanation of difference and relations between creation and creativity, innovation and creativity, as well as intelligence and creativity. And then move onto an introduction of the theoretical approach for fostering creativity during the process of physics experimental teaching in high school based on the analysis of the theoretical and empirical achievements within and outside the country.Theoretical and practical research is carried out in studying creativity cultivation based on the process of physics experimental teaching in high school, with the practical research being emphasized. By making theoretical analysis, an approach for fostering creativity in physics experimental teaching is designed and applied in teaching practice. Three kinds of experiments: demonstrative experiments, students-operating experiments, and independent-inquiry experiments, are introduced in teaching practice to enhance the benefits of practical research on inspiring students'creative potential and fostering creative capability.The assessment method for judging the effects of creativity cultivation is designed, which relied on achievements of measurements on individual's creativity abroad; and it is applied by two stages to measure the creativity of students from experimental class and from comparative class. After that, the results are analyzed quantitatively, and case analysis is also processed when necessary. Finally, conclusions for practical research on fostering creativity based on the process of physics experimental teaching in high school is announced.Conclusions and reflections of the study:From the perspective of the whole study, some effects on inspiring students'creative potential and fostering creative capabilities has been achieved during the two semesters'periods of physics experimental teaching.In view of reflection for the thesis, further study on fostering students'creativity based on physics experimental teaching in high school is required to put efforts on the aspects of theory and practice exploration, depth and scope broadening, range research and follow-up research, and on the interconnection and interaction within the system of teamwork, environmental and affective variables.Overall analysis, the study on fostering creativity based on the process of physics experimental teaching is an initiative attempt on theory and practice, the outlook is presented.
