Non-Profit Organization Fund-Raising In China

Since the reform and opening up,as China's political and economic had reformed Continue in-depth, a variety of Non-Profit Organizations in our country have appeared in large numbers, and increasingly have a relatively independent status.As new forces of our society,Non-Profit Organizations are impacting on our society's political and economic life profoundly,and having an unparalleled advantage in the market in the settlement with the social and public issues.However,NPOs face some serious problems in the development.The fonds is very important for the survival and development of any organizations.NPO not only have not a fixed funds source like government,but also have not income through market management like commercial organizations.Being short of money and difficulty of financing is frequently encountered problem of NPO.How to suceessfully raise money and inject fresh blood into NPO for steady survival and healthy development is the advertent emphases and difficulty of NPO's finance manager and operator.This paper aims at the difficult situation of raising funds of NPOs,taking government failure, market failure,contract failure theory and Maslow's demand levels theory as guides. It analyzes the NPOs fund-raising mode and characteristics of United States respectively in different emphasis point.Based on introducing the development of China's NPOs,the paper focuses on formed NPOs' fund-raising methods and their existent difficulties and suggests that NPOs should strengthen thei own capabilities as the foundation,combining scientific management,rational development and external relations together,updating the concept of fund-raising,developing and taking multi-channel land multi-latitude fund-raising channels so as to fully excavate the fund-raising potential of NPOs.Combining with the experiences of the Chinese Red Cross Foundation,it summarizes the successful found-raising manner and the fund-raising situation of Chinese Red Cross Foundation in the hope of providing valuable work experiences for reference to the similar NPOs.
