In the recent times of implementing quality education and advocating to reduce the burden of assignment, the status of middle school students of physical assignment is not optimistic, it mainly displays in the following aspects:First, some teachers are just for assignment, lack of purpose and focus; Next, assignment is generally more in quantity; Then,a few layered assignment; Finally, difficult and tricky questions are one by one, make students try to come up but not work out, etc.These states manifest that physics assignmetn has lost its own function. So how to solve this problem?New Curriculum Reforms are getting on well under the modern education spirits of "student-centered" and "all should start from students", assignment reforms are imperative. Assignment is an important part of the teaching process, and it provides important feedback information for teachers and students, according to the information, teachers and students can take appropriate remedial measures to improve the quality of teaching and learning. Whether the function of assignment can be achieved or not, it'll affect teachers to teach smoothly, and it'll relate teaching and learning's quality.In this paper, against the shortcomings of physics assignment in middle school, under the guidance of new curriculum theory, education theory and psychology theory, the writer try to design optimal physics assignment. First, according to the status of physical assignment, it is to explain why to study this issue.Next, it is written for explaining the theories when designing physics assignment. Next, it is to discuss the role of assignment in teaching. Then, it will talk about how to design middle school physics assignment, including basic theories and principles. Finally, it is to design different kinds of physics assignment.Assignment is an important carrier to consolidate knowledge, deepen knowledge, expertise knowledge and feedback between teaching and learning effectiveness. Design optimal assignment to make students complete their assignments in a relaxing process and increase their capacity, it is currently one of the important issues in education reforms.
