The development of school-based curriculum, which pays much attention to students' dominant position, is a significant construction schools use to bring into full play their teaching advantages and school characteristics. Meanwhile it is also an important way to reflect social democracy and guarantee teachers'status.With the deepening of the new curriculum reform, the development of school-based curriculum has moved from "slogan," "concept" to "action" and "reality". The running autonomy of schools will be further strengthened and the role of shools becomes more and more important. As the focus of the school reform, the development of school-based curriculum has already become a significant issue of school development and research.Based on development and implement of school-based curriculum of biology in the school where the author practiced as a teacher, this paper first illustrates the topical basis, significance and research methods. Then, the progress of school-based curriculum research at home and abroad is reviewed. By combining some overseas development experience, the theoretical foundation of school-based curriculum and its development process are elaborated. Finally by questionnaires and interviews the impact of the implementing of school-based curriculum on students and teachers is explored. Results indicate that the implementation of school-based curriculum of biology promotes overall development of students and professional development of teachers and improve parents'nonchalance to educatition. However, there are some problems at the same time. Aiming at these problems, the author puts forward some suggestions, and provides good experience for shcools in which shool-based curriculum of biology has not been opened yet.
