Twenty-first century is an international and informational age. The time are a fullof opportunities and challenges. The social requirement of talent quality will nolonger confined to a skill or simple knowledge, at the same time, it also requires us tohave a good ability to adapt to society. College Students’ social adaptation ability isthe sum of the relatively stable characteristics of college students in the individualsocialization procession, which includes self-awareness, self-management skills,learning skills, peer relationship skills, and practical skills. Good ability to adapt tothe society is not only can enhance self-confidence to improve self competitive, butalso can play its role of various social live in the future.On the social adaptability of college students has been carried out in some subject,especially in sports psychology and sports fields in the high school education. Expandtraining have its own characteristics to attract more students. It uses different scenes,the form of games in our physical environment. Spirit and will stimulate the formation,stress and tension as the main content of the activity. It is a typical experiential aninteractive learning. Compared with the traditional sports games, it has enrich thecontent, is more flexible in organization and implementation method, more attentionto students’ experience and the feeling of soul. It makes the students’ subjectivity andpersonality more respected and exercise.This exploratory study expands the training to the students of social adaptabilityof the teaching activities.80students in China University of Geosciences as theresearch object (the experimental group40are optional training class,40in thecontrol group are taking the badminton elective course students) It make a study inexpanding training in improving and enhancing the social adaptation of collegestudents.The conclusions of this study are mainly embodied in the following three aspects:1. The so-called social adaptation ability refers to the individual is betterintegrated into the ability of social groups. This ability is often showed from the peerrelationship, learning knowledge, expressing willingness, self-management and so on;2. Experimental studies have shown that: Expand training has a unique andsignificant role in improving and promoting students’ social adaptability. Studentswho participate Outward Bound have a very significant change in dealing with peerrelations skills, learning skills, skills to express their wishes(P<0.01); It produce amore obvious change In the self-management skills and skills of obedience (P<0.05).3.From the view of expand training affect students from handling peer relations,the training effect is very significant in adapting to new environments, contacting withothers, communication aspects. At the same time, it has a very significant role in improving students learning skills, such as learning new knowledge and new skills,test scores, the courage to speak in class. It also stick to a very significant role inimproving students expressive willingness, such as the courage to talk to strangers,insist on learning in particular learning environment.
