Research On Distance Learner's Learning Power And Its Application

Learning power has an potential impact on learning activities, as well as the quality of learning.learning power can be reflected by the behavior of learning. Essentially in terms of learning power is a form of abstract "power"---one of the reasons that change the status of learning. Learning power has positive and negative, big and small,which might improve or block the status of learning.At present,Online education is the major manifestation of Chinese distance education.yet,although online education has much positive points,its negative points can not be neglected.For example online education can not give the feedback of students effectively.students and teachers are apart,so it is hard to let the teachers know the behavior of students.as a result,it is really necessary to mode the students'behavior.learnig power is the standard of learning ability,which plays an important role in the process of learning.from this research,we can get the information of students'learning power,then help them to improve their learning method as well as learning habits.In this study,we make a summary and induction of the current study of learning power's essence.based on the special character of distance education,we pointed out six substances of learning power:motivation, attitude, time management, innovation, self-learning ability and learning efficiency. Presented the quantitative methods as well as the evaluation rubric.In the third part of this study,we presented three design of the applications of learning power,one of the most important is the clustering of students.the purpose of this clustering is not to category students who have high marks,but to clustering students based on their learning power.the second and third design is how to take advantage of learning power in the teaching support service and educational social network service.
