Golf Cultural Transmission In The Period Of Social Transition In China

Golf originated in Scotland, in the mid-fourteenth century, was introduced to China in the evening of 19th century. Golf was originally a nationals leisure sports and had been seen as a "bourgeois" decadent way of life before the eighties of last century, it suffered stagnation. And then to China's reform and opening up, golf is a movement to highlight the identity of the "elite class". Golf, as a cultural phenomenon, is showing the spread of its culture Comprehensive candidate disease in the period of social transformation in China.Based on the all mentioned above, this paper analyze the spread of Chinese culture of golf from the four parts. The first part is the introduction, this study describes the significance of status and research purposes, methods, and basic definition of the concept; The second part is the analysis of ecological propagation environment of golf culture, including golf culture, symbol system of golf cultural and the "embarrassment" it suffered in communication environment in China. The third part is the analysis of golf culture media, the analysis of the three golf culture medium of communication (mass media, the star symbol media, mass media organizations). The fourth part is to analyze the Golf audience of cultural transmission in China and its variation in the spread of Chinese culture.
