Nowadays quite a few instructional technology experts and scholars have carried out much study on the integration of information technology and curriculum, but their study has a tendency to put emphasis on pure theory and is lacking in the adaptability of various subjects. It is hard to find some actual, practicable and detailed integrated methods and strategies adapted to subject instruction. And there is not enough applied research on the integration of information technology and English unit instruction.On the basis of former theories and research, the dissertation puts forwards new points through planned theoretical exploration and experimental practice based on the textbook----Senior High English (BNU edition), mainly including the connotation of and the strategies for the integration of information technology and English instruction,which are operable and have practical value in the process of practice combined with the theoretical analysis.The full text is divided into five parts in all. Chapter one looks through the development of integrating IT into course home and abroad, the trend of English teaching research abroad as well as the present situation of English teaching in China and the requirements of now English course standard. Chapter two explains the integration of information technology and English teaching including its concept, content and theoretical foundation and basis understanding. Chapter three gives an analysis of the new teaching material ----Senior High English(BNU), elaborates the feasibility and strategies of integrating information technology with teaching instruction for senior high school. Chapter four presents the design, the procedure and the analysis of the experiment, of which the result is expected to offer some help in English teaching in the future. The last is the result.The features and innovations of the dissertation lie in the fact that the advantages of information technology are creatively combined with instructional ideas, principles and characteristics of new materials to serve English teaching better. |
