A Study Of The Incentive Mechanism For Scientific Research In Vocational Colleges In Shanxi Province

Skill education is the essence of vocational education. Skill education does not mean, however, not to engage in scientific research. The innovative practice of higher vocational colleges interprets traditional"skill education"in an innovative view, enriching the definition of scientific research. There exists a significant difference between scientific research and higher vocational colleges. Higher vocational education highlights the application of scientific research, the ways to realize scientific research are through combination between colleges and companies; and colleges'researches should include scientific innovation and technology creation, which is based on theoretical research and theoretical innovation accumulated by previous researchers. Higher vocational education is an important part of higher education, with teaching, research and social service social functions. Vocational colleges promote the realization of its social function through the mechanism of school-enterprise cooperation . And this new type of school-enterprise cooperation mechanism largely depends on the research improvement of vocational colleges. Therefore, the analysis of research management system of higher vocational education is of great significance.It is of great importance that designing good incentive mechanism for research can promote level of scientific research. Current research of vocational colleges in our province follows the traditional incentive models; there are many problems, such as no clear research objectives and lack of specific incentive measures. This article focuses on a national-model college from the perspective of incentives; analyze problems, puts forward suggestions for improvement, and provide the competent authorities for reference.Through the methods of case studies and questionnaire survey, this dissertation paper analyzed a vocational college, including the situation of the school's researchers, research incentives, pay performance levels. The results show that there exist many problems such as extensive system, less attention, single means. This paper conducted comparing methods to analyze Singapore's research incentives of higher vocational education, put forward some valuable measures for our province incentive proposals: the introduction of exit mechanism, enhancing the flow of vocational teachers; establishing appropriate scientific evaluation mechanism mechanism to promote scientific research and development; pay attention to the design of the research supporting the treatment factors and to stimulate interest in teacher research.
