With the rapid development of social productive forces, college teachers'lifestyle is changing greatly. Sports culture has become an important part of people's life. Though college teachers'social status has been improved to a certain extent, they are now facing the stress of diplomas and academic titles, and thus the degree of life satisfaction has been actually lowered. Since the degree of life satisfaction is an important index to assess quality of life, this article studies the relationship between physical lifestyle and degree of life satisfaction through the analysis of how physical life promotes health and improves the degree of life satisfaction.The subjects of the research are 575 college teachers in Anhui Province. They were asked to fill in questionnaires on the degree of life satisfaction and physical life. The article analyzes the relationship between physical lifestyle and degree of life satisfaction by the methods of documentation, interview, questionnaire and statistics. The results show that:1. College teachers vary greatly in the frequency and time of taking physical exercise according to their gender, age, academic title and administrative rank (P< 0.05). More male teachers take physical exercise than females; elder teachers take physical exercise more frequently; young teachers spend more hours each time on physical exercise. The main places they choose to take exercise are college stadiums. With the improvement in life standard, a growing number of teachers choose to exercise in the stadiums which charge. Most of the physical exercise items are items with little fund input.2. The college teachers'degree of life satisfaction is low, averaging 3.33 points. Teachers show different features in dimensions of life satisfaction: they have obvious difference in the dimension of personal relationship satisfaction; teachers in different ages show difference in the dimension of living satisfaction; teachers with different administrative ranks have difference in the dimensions of job satisfaction and living satisfaction. Among the dimensions of life satisfaction, there is a high level of family satisfaction and personal relationship satisfaction.3. Physical lifestyles have a certain impact on the degree of life satisfaction. Teachers who often exercise scores higher than those who don't. Attitudes towards the participation of physical exercise are closely related to the degree of life satisfaction; those who like taking exercise score higher in the overall degree of life satisfaction and dimensions of life satisfaction; great difference is shown only in the dimension of personal relationship satisfaction and overall degree of satisfaction (P< 0.05). As for physical activities, the amount of time in taking exercise is closely related to life satisfaction; those who exercise more frequently and spend more time exercising score higher in overall degree of life satisfaction and all dimensions of life satisfaction, and the difference is great and obvious (P< 0.05). It is found that college teachers who spend more than 500 yuan every month on sports have the highest degree of life satisfaction, which proves that economy is the most important factor of life satisfaction. In the overall degree of life satisfaction and all dimensions of life satisfaction, family satisfaction and physical consumption show no obvious difference among college teachers.
