Reciting is an teaching methods of the traditional Chinese, People has proved its effectiveness in language learning for thousands of years . Under the direction of modernization in education, chinas basic education curriculum reform is sustainable developing. Varieties of teaching methods are constantly being tried. Meanwhile, We do not pay attention to the traditional teaching reading. Through my visits to nearby primary and secondary schools to understand that not only the students lack of enthusiasm for reading ancient poetry. It is reflected in the teaching activities mainly for the method to analyze instead of reading texts. Secondly, in terms of quantity, small amount of reading material and time can not make students through training to develop good language sense. Again, even if the teachers will encourage students to read the text, but because many teachers do not understand the theory and method of reading, from a qualitative, can not give the students the proper guidance, it is difficult to achieve good results. Finally, the sword of Damocles----- the exam-oriented education hanging over the heads of the primary teachers, so teachers with teaching often quick success, the blind short-sighted and reversed the laws of ancient poetry and prose learning.This paper sets out the current status of teaching ancient poetry and prose, analyzing the reasons for its inefficiency. Chapter II starting from the theory of language sense describes the theoretical basis for teaching reading; third chapter traces the tradition of teaching reading and content, and then the existence of ancient poetry and performance art way to discuss the necessity of teaching reading; IV Is the reading level of teaching and training methods; training chapter is easy reading for the problems some solutions. And give examples in the appendix to talk about reading in poetry, classical class type of use.
