Sports events and the media have close relationship and interactions, which has important effect on both of them. And these kinds of interactions are caused by many inner and outer reasons.During the development of a sports event, the media causes great and important influence on it. Events need the media to promote their fame to gather profits. Nevertheless, the media can supervise sports events off bad effects. As to the media, especially sports media, sports events has also great influence. Events can provide huge news resources and advertisement opportunities for the media.Nowadays, the media in China has faced more and more challenges and troubles. On the other hand, more and more sports events have been hold in China, among them, there are both national sports events and famous foreign events. But a great number of problems also raised, such as bad operation, sports scandals. What is worse, the interactions and relationship between Chinese sports events and Chinese media is too simple and gainful for their further Cooperation and efficiency of using each-other's resources. On such background, it is meaningful to study foreign case to gather experience and innovation ideas.Le Tour de France is one of historical events in Europe. It is also one of the three biggest events in Europe. Unlike any other famous events, Le Tour de France is the only event which was created by the media and now is owned by a media group. Its original task was to increase the issue of a newspaper named L'Auto.During the development, Le Tour de France and the media has caused great influence upon each other. Among all the media which interacted with the event, the closest media to Le Tour de France is L'Equipe and France Television. Nevertheless, the social and economic changes has also influence both event and the Media. The interactions and influence worth our attention and energy to study.Le Tour de France and L'Equipe and France Television provide us a great opportunity to study the interactions between sports events and the media. During different stages and periods of time, the strategies of Tour de France and the media can deliver great revelations for our Chinese media and sports events.Because of the reasons above, the author studied and analyzed the history of Tour de France, papers and data of research of le Tour de France to summarize the interactions between Tour de France and the media, and offer advice for Chinese sports media and local sports events.
