The Study On Reshaping And Modern Development Of Firecrackers-robbing Of Dong Ethnic Group

Firecrackers-robbing is one of the traditional sports of minority in our country. By investigation, it originates from Guangdong, later spreads into the adjacent area of Guangxi, Guizhou and Hunan province, populates and develops among the Sanjiang Dong ethnic groups in Liuzhou, Guangxi province. The firecracker-robbing which has a history of 500 years is the summary of practical experience on producing and laboring of Dong ethnic group. Nowadays the firecrackers-robbing , a sports with ethnic characteristics, populates in many ethnic groups such as Dong, Zhuang, Melao and Yao ethnic groups of Guangxi, Guizhou, Hunan and Yunnan province. The firecrackers-robbing which covers a unique national style, entertainment and intense antagonism is a sport for brave, attracts many participants and has a broad mass base. It is favored by the masses of ethnic groups, booming for hundreds of years and called by foreign scholars as"oriental rugby"with Chinese characteristic. Thus the firecracker-robbing is good for improving our national quality and strengthens the cohesive force among ethnic groups.The paper studies the reshaping and modern development of Dong ethnic group by using literature material method, viewing method, record interviews and mathematical method of average. The writer was on the competition scene of the firecrackers-robbing in the area of the ethnic groups, inspected and learnt from the local and national games under the mode of modern development, and participated in the teaching and competition of the firecrackers-robbing in our university. The writer concluded through researching and comparative analysis: revealing the development of firecrackers-robbing. The firecrackers-robbing as activities on ethnic groups'festivals or red letter days are developed as a sports. The paper sees through the human information resources in the native environment such as folk custom, culture and entertainment, athletic competition and bodybuilding.
