A Study On Reshaping The Elder Veterans' Self-esteem By Intervention Group

In recent years,more and more attentions are focused on the elderly people's living standards.With the constant development of the social economic,the living level of elderly veterans has improved a lot.However,the spiritual life compared to it has lagged behind.Based on the previous studies,this paper carried out a group work in the L community,focusing on the effectiveness of social workers involved in the reconstruction of the selfesteem of the elderly in the urban elderly.After getting the questionnaire survey from L community,researcher found that respondents were generally accepted high-level education in their youth.The work they did are always management before they retired.After retirement,the transition of their role and the salary they got made them becomes self-abasement.Under this circumstance,this paper started to do an experiment about rebuilding self-esteem.After reviewing the previous research literature and finding relevant theory,the author conducted the activities.Through evaluating the team activities,researcher found that the group activity has strong interest,and the service object accepted them happily.After the group activities,the self-esteem level of elder milatary has improved significantly,which means the reshape intervention is effective.In conclusion,this study has positive significance on reshaping the urban elderly veterans' self-esteem.Not only can the group improve their level of self-esteem and quality of life,but also enrich the experience about social work intervention with elder military.However,the development of the recreation group and the overall research still had some shortcomings,and there is still much space to update the whole research especially in the choice of research activities and evaluation methods.
