With the promotion of new senior currilum reform,the new course puts forward the further requirements on high school teachers'teaching .Because of restriction of politics,ecomomics and cultures. the new curriculum reform brings a large challenge to rural education .English is a key one in senior subjects,its implement is the important part in all the course system. The new curriculum reform couses a revolution in structures,aims,contents,methods and evaluations of senior English course .Weather rural teachers can adapt English teaching is the important factor that limits the implement of new course. Therefore ,this study chooses rural high school English teachers in Xinjiang which has just begun to put new curriculum reform into practice as my research object ,mainly using analysis of documents,questiongairs and interviews to inspect the teaching adaptability of the new curriculum reform,aiming to find factors which influence teachers'teaching adaptibility and give advice to help rural teachers do better in implement of new course.This text is divided into five parts.The first part: Introduction . Mainly dicusses research backgrounds ,study summarizations, concept definings,research purposes and significances.The second part:Mainly tell the theory foundation.including: teachers'self-identity, educational differences between cities and villages and teaching adaptability .The third part:Survey and analasis on teaching adaptability level of rural high school teachers to new curriculum standards.From the beginning of teachers basic situations,and then analize the adaptability conditions on concept and behavior which involve teachin aims,contents,methods and means and teaching evaluation and get current problems .The fourth part:Analyze the factors which affact the teaching adaptability of rural senior high school. The factors may include: Teachers hasn't learned New curriculum reform deeply, lack of action awareness;Think highly of teachers'quantity,but look down upon teachers'quality;Value orientation of evaluation tends to pursure the rate in entering school ;Lack of teaching resources relatively ,lower quality of teaching facilities ;Weak elementary education so to affect the implentment of new course well;Rrural high school teachers can't satisfy training. The fifth part: Propose strategies in enhancing teaching adaptability level of rural senior school teachers.The study indicates that teachers'adaptibility is rather weak.The strategies include:Promote the aims and efficiency about training contents and ways;Deepen the teachers'understanding to new curriculum reform.Improve teachers'professional level and efficiency of teaching and reseach ;Develop school-based curriculum resonably. Build better teaching enviroment and change teaching evaluation system,Aiming to stengthen the acaptabity of rural senior English teachers.
