Since the curriculum reform in basic education carried out in 2001, the common sense has gradually come into being that "teachers' receptivity to the curriculum reform is an important factor that affects the curriculum implementation. Therefore, it is indispensable for the new English curriculum reform, which is an integral part of the curriculum reform in basic education, to pay close attention to the English teachers' receptivity to new curriculum. Under this background, the thesis studies high school English teachers' receptivity to the new curriculum by questionnaire survey and interview in Huainan cityThe author analyses the current state of teachers' receptivity to the new English curriculum from the seven aspects: the means and state that teachers' learning and implementing the new curriculum; their attitudes to the new curriculum; their behavior intentions in implementing the new curriculum; non-monetary cost-benefit; practicality of the new curriculum, issues of teachers' concern and supports from outside of the school. Then the author discusses the main factors that affect teachers' receptivity to the new English curriculum and gets a clear image of the relation between high school English teachers' receptivity to the new curriculum and their behavior intentions in implementing the new curriculum.In the research, the author finds that English teachers in high school have high receptivity to the new English curriculum. Teachers in junior high school have higher receptivity than those in senior; there is no obvious difference between the male teachers' receptivity and that of the female teachers'; teachers in key high schools have higher receptivity than those in non-key high schools; teachers with different titles of technical post show different receptivity, that is, teachers of senior and level 3 is higher that those of level 2 and level 1. In addition, the more high teachers' receptivity is, the more active their behavior intentions are. The main factor that affects teachers' receptivity is practicality of the new curriculum and supports from outside of the school.Hence, the method of enhancing teachers' receptivity is to perfect the new English curriculum. Meanwhile, it is also necessary to improve the conditions for teachers to implement the new curriculum, including guaranteeing the quality of English teaching materials, strengthening the cooperation between teachers as well as intensifying the communication between teaching experts and common teachers. Only under more favorable conditions can teachers carry the new curriculum into execution more actively and more enthusiastically.
