Urban Public Participation In Community Management

With the continuous deepening of reform, a dramatic shift of government functions in China, the original of "units " as the main features of the disintegration of social management system, and gradually to the "social " management changes. Government decentralization and community taking on the social functions of the unit was spun off to become the city's most basic social unit control system. With the current diversity of various stakeholders and raise awareness of citizen participation in community management of the process, more and more public participation in the focus of attention.This paper describes in depth the theoretical background of public participation, more public participation in the community at home and abroad model. The location of the work - an example Xietu community to be seen glimpse of the whole picture, discusses the current management of public participation in urban communities the basic status and problems. Attempt the integration of social resources from the community, the cultivation of civic awareness, the cultivation of social organization, institutional mechanisms for innovation, ways to find a solution so that the public can legally, orderly and efficient management of urban communities involved in the past.
